Association Forum Announces 2023 Woman of Influence

CHICAGO (February 27, 2023) — Association Forum is pleased to announce Jacqualine Price Osafo, MBA, CAE, Executive Director of the Society of American Archivists, as the 2023 recipient of the Woman of Influence Award.  

This honor is awarded to trailblazers in the industry who have a proven track record of innovation, impact and paying it forward through coaching, mentoring and service to others.   

Being named the 2023 Woman of Influence reflects Osafo’s commitment to the association community as well as her dedication to the advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion. Osafo joined the association community in 1989 as a temp at the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). She spent more than 12 years in ENA’s membership department before joining the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) in 2002. She continued to flourish in membership and took positions at both the Water Quality Association and the American Health Information Management Association. In July 2021, Osafo accepted the position of executive director at the Society of American Archivists. 

“Jacqualine’s work in associations is truly inspiring,” says Artesha Moore, FASAE, CAE, President and CEO of Association Forum. “Her dedication to the association community has been unwavering for more than 30 years,” she adds. 

“I am privileged to be considered because of the amazing women who have traveled this journey,” says Osafo. “I feel joy and gratitude for a community that has allowed me to grow, expand, make mistakes, and embrace me all simultaneously.” 

Osafo has served on committees at Association Forum and elsewhere since 2006. She is also committed to sharing knowledge with her community. Osafo reflected on co-presenting for the first time at Association Forum’s Associations 101 program. Since that first presentation, she has gone on to present more than 50 times at association events. 

“Jacqualine embraces what it means to be an authentic leader. She strives for excellence in her work, while also pulling up those around her and inspiring them to achieve greatness. Osafo will be presented the award at Women’s Executive Forum on March 24, 2023 at Convene Willis Tower in Chicago. She will also make a presentation at the conference, offering reflections on her career as well as advice for other women. The Women’s Executive Forum is an annual assembly of women association CEOs, C-Suite executives and emerging leaders designed to facilitate candid conversations around specific challenges and opportunities.
