Hans Zetterstrom Joins Association Management Center as Chief Information Officer

HANS ZETTERSTROM JOINS ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT CENTER AS CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (December 22, 2021) – Association Management Center (AMC), a leading Chicago-based association management company that helps clients Achieve What You Believe is very pleased to announce that Hans Zetterstrom joined AMC in the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) on December 1, 2021.

As CIO, Zetterstrom leads a team of information technology (IT) professionals in executing AMC’s enterprise IT strategy and delivering innovative technology to meet our clients’ goals. In addition, he also serves on AMC’s Leadership Team, which oversees the strategic direction, business objectives, and growth of our company.

Zetterstrom came to AMC from the American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL), where he was a member of the Executive Leadership Team since 2011. He held several senior leadership positions while at the AAPL, including chief operations officer, CIO, and his most recent as chief strategic innovation officer.

Throughout his career, Zetterstrom has built a reputation for developing strong collaborations between operations and technology to empower teams to succeed at the highest level. His skill at developing strong partnerships led to AAPL launching its Physician Leadership Platform in 2017. The Platform is an innovative combination of learning management, social community, career development, and information resource library functionalities designed by Zetterstrom in direct collaboration with a variety of business partners and delivered by the AAPL application development team. The AAPL Platform successfully improved member growth and engagement and significantly contributed to organizational revenue with 93% year-over-year improvement in 2020.

In addition to his roles at the AAPL, Zetterstrom has also held positions as architecture leader of web platforms, senior manager of information technology, and senior systems engineer with The Nielsen Company. Under his leadership, the Nielsen Web Development Group united 125 Nielsen web applications representing 50 distinct organizations across 80 countries, reducing the technical footprint by 67% in the process.

Zetterstrom has a BA in Business Administration from Mount Ida College and an MS in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris.
