Leslie

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Leslie Whittet, CAE, a dedicated leader within the Association Forum community. Leslie tragically lost her life following an accident while walking her beloved dog, Mel.

For more than 30 years, Leslie exemplified what it means to lead with passion and purpose. She served the association profession with distinction, including 13 years at the Association for Corporate Growth and most recently as Chief Membership Experience Officer at RIMS. Her energy, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment to empowering professional communities touched countless lives.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Leslie was known for her kindness, empathy, and generosity. She gave back through her church and the association community, and she brought laughter and joy to every room she entered. Leslie was not only a role model for association professionals but also a true friend to many.

She will be deeply missed by her colleagues, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Funeral arrangements are pending, and RIMS will honor her memory at the Annual Chapter Leadership Forum in Orlando, January 29–30.

On behalf of Association Forum, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Leslie’s family, friends, and colleagues. We honor her legacy and the indelible mark she left on our community.
