In Memoriam: Na Shawn “Shawn” Randle

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Na Shawn Randle—known affectionately to all as “Shawn.” Shawn served at Association Forum for six years, during which time she became not only a trusted teammate but a beloved presence in the association community.
If you knew Shawn, you remember her warmth and big smile. Shawn was the type of person who always remembered you and always made you feel welcome. She was a bright light and a joy to work with. Shawn had a rare gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her warmth, kindness, and authenticity made her a favorite among members and a cherished coworker.

A cornerstone of Association Forum’s education team, Shawn brought energy and heart to everything she did. Her intuitive way with people meant that members felt immediately at home—whether they were walking into their first Forum event or reaching out with a question. She had an uncanny ability to brighten a room and lift the spirits of everyone around her.
“Shawn embodied the very spirit of Association Forum,” said Artesha Moore, FASAE, CAE, President and CEO of Association Forum. “Her presence reminded us that meaningful connection is at the heart of everything we do. She brought joy to our work and left a mark on every life she touched.”

Her colleagues will remember her laughter, her generous spirit, and her deep commitment to community. Phyllis Scott, MAEd, Senior Director, Business Operations, who was a good friend and worked closely with Shawn for several years, shared: “Shawn brought light to even the busiest days, and her genuine care for people created a ripple effect of positivity throughout our organization.”
Shawn’s legacy will live on in the countless relationships she nurtured and the welcoming environment she helped create. We extend our deepest sympathies to her family, friends, and the many members whose lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
