Key Update: Executive Orders Impacting DEI and Other Programs

Dear Association Forum Community,
We want to reach out regarding recent Executive Orders (EOs), issued by the Trump Administration, that may directly impact our Association Forum community.
One of the key EOs, issued on January 21, directs federal agencies to conduct “civil compliance investigations” for large nonprofit organizations, associations, and certain other entities like state and local bar and medical associations. This marks a significant shift in federal policy, particularly for organizations receiving federal funding or involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Given these changes, we encourage you to review your DEI programs and assess any potential implications for your organization.
We also encourage you to stay connected with fellow members through MyForum, SIGs, and other networking groups. Engaging in discussions, sharing insights, and exchanging resources will be critical in navigating these evolving regulations. Additionally, we are actively collaborating with ASAE to provide you with the latest updates and advocacy efforts.
As always, Association Forum is here to support you. If you have questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Artesha Moore, FASAE, CAE |
