Promotions and Changes

The Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) board of directors voted unanimously to extend the contract of CEO Megan Schagrin, MBA, CAE, CFRE, through 2028. The board noted several accomplishments and her leadership and vision as key to their decision to extend Schagrin’s contract. Schagrin looks forward to continued success with SAEM. “I have had the opportunity to work at several prestigious medical associations in my career, but SAEM is truly special,” she said. “The board, membership and staff all truly believe in our mission. When you have so many caring and smart people directing their focus in the same direction, it is amazing how much can be accomplished. I feel very privileged to be part of this organization.”

Jim Gibson, DelCor strategic consultant, technology management, has been promoted to vice president, Midwest. In his new role, he will continue to manage DelCor’s Chicago office, which he has done since it opened in the summer of 2017, and increase his focus on business development.
