How did you come to the association industry?
It’s quite amusing, as I have no recollection of applying to my current company. At that time, my primary job search platforms were Indeed and LinkedIn. Despite searching extensively, I couldn’t locate any record of my application. Surprisingly, this occurred eight years ago. Since then, I’ve developed a deep passion for association work.
What is your favorite part of your job?
Member Engagement. I love working with our members. I have established a great rapport with our volunteered members.
Tell us about a time that your involvement in this community had an impact on your career or life.
Andrea Mitchell approached me and invited me to join The Women’s Executive Forum, marking my first committee involvement. I am grateful for her encouragement and guidance in applying for this opportunity. Generally reserved, I may not have pursued such involvement on my own. However, her support has boosted my confidence. This year, I applied for a different committee and was accepted. I am eager to expand my horizons, embrace new challenges, and become more engaged.
